I know first half of s3 is flawed, Chiyoh, but i saw the numbness of everyone as a prolonged shock because of the immense pain, a long build tension breaking and overwhelming information and emotionen. Everyone copes according to character: Will gets into a split reality, dreamy state and searches informationen and context to process. Alana toughens up and seeks revenge, as she tries to gain control back, but in an pissed and ego state. Jack gets angry and aggressive, as he has always been choleric, aggressive and dominant, but also hurt and enraged by Hannibals involvment with his wife and her death. Bedelia is as always in an vague state where she hides herself from outside and of course tries to await the right moment to escape but unable to. I think because Will betrait Hannibal, he got back with his ex Bedelia, I mean she is obidiant but kind of standing against him in an amusing, melancholic way, she is a good distraction for victims, and lastly just an easy toy for him. She already knows who he is so he just takes her along. For me the biggest problem lies in the combination of this depressing, fog like state combined with a pacinig problem. And yes Chiyoh. Hannibal is my favorite show, so maybe there is some cope, but I am impressed by and thankful to everyone who worked on that show. It takes some courage to just risk it all because you couldnt get the episodes you needed so you need to change plans drastically and just go full out. Also the final of s3 is the best ending of all time.

its crazy i finished everything. I had to say this if this reflects whats on Miami. its crazy f*ed up. season 1 and 2 are great. but the rest of the seasons they all f*ed up the storyline Dexter is so f*ing lazy and sloppy and weak and stupid. nobody s gonna root for him anymore. and what else, all around him are all the same weak and sloppy and stupid. His lieutenant sister knew about his killings so guess waht happened. She supported her serial killer brother instead of getting him arrested. the rest of the seasons are all messed up. Oh and hipocrisy too. This is all a f*ed up sh*t. From season 3 onwars all lines are all lies and hipocrisy and stupidity. like from season where Debra found out. all the conversations they had with each other they areall lies and manipulation. It teaches you waht s wrong with the world. Debra finds out Dexter is killing. She helps him and later move on and regrets to ever helping his brother. Every episode is like this. SHe moves on with a new life new boyfriend, Dexter comes in and kills her boyfriend and then she forgives Dexter and this kind of storyline is kinda boring and predictable. Only if Dexter is smart, I would root but it has all fu*ed up.

I personally liked it all but the last episode. SUPER RUSHED. It really should have ended with him being caught.. a trial and all.. him having to face all his old co workers and their shock that he's the bay harbor butcher. I feel we were robbed of that. Especially with angel "being on his way" to confront dexter. What a waste of a revival.

The thing about Breaking Bad is that the writers seem never to have spoken to real human beings. All the dialogue feels like the writers only know about human beings from other TV shows.

It's unlikely Saul would give Walt's front the level of attention and consideration Skyler does. For Skyler, it's her entire life and the safety of her family on the line - something neither Saul nor Walt comprehend bc they're in this for themselves. Moreover, Saul is full of goofy ideas - he's the guy who'd trash his body for a payoff - and they work for him and his criminal clients. For a milquetoast like Walter White, they'd look out of place.

I’ll start with i haven’t watched the show since its aired. I remember the last season not being fun for me, and the bury your gays thing really rubbed me the wrong way when they could’ve easily give them another route but it seemed like introducing gay characters for diversity and not knowing what to do with them so can them which reminded me of what they didn’t do with liv’s brother, i remember that season 4 had a better season finale than the series finale, that season 1 was truly great, that season 2 fell flat to me which i partly put on the fact that they had a longer season and they hammered us with the case of the week quirky hijicks and what will liv be bs constantly. I remember that a lot of the changes they made from the comics aren’t always good! We should’ve seen her brother more often, we shouldve seen her relationship with her mother more often and they should’ve kept the fact that liv loses a lil bit of herself as she gets others memories rather than just the case of the week. Hated that the villain of the show (blaine?) was treated as some quirky anti hero rather than actual scvmmy monster that he is, i liked the meat cute setting more than any of his other business the scratching post and the funerarium being dead last even tho the funerarium just looked like any another. I preferred the renegade story than the case of the week. I think i prefer s4 finale because it was a direct opposite to liv’s s1 struggles with being alone, having to abandoned her people and all around the allegory of depression thru her zombie state of living after losing everything, here she was celebrated and needed and wanted and people protected her bc she protected, she had finally what was close to a family and a community which is something she suffered from not having after the boat situation and all around season 1. Blaine should’ve been gone before the end of the show, his plots always were annoying and parasite to the main plots, i never found him compelling on the show past s1 where he was an actual villain. The only thing i remember liking about the finale was that liv accepted herself as a zombie which drives back the idea of zombie being an allegory for depression in season 1. She accepted herself for what she was as she is rather than trying to get back to the person she once was and for the longest time heralded as the best version of herself but as she goes along she learns more about herself and develops qualities she didn’t have back then. She is who she was supposed to be and she relinquished that control and accepted herself, forgive herself and her circumstances and decided to move on. That’s exactly how it feels. The comics seems actually very interesting bc its far more supernatural and goth. Gwen in the comics feels more like echo from dollhouse with her motivations to get brains to help them get closure and feels the urge to make their dying wish happen, rather than solve their case. The deleted scenes in season 2 between liv and her brother are further proof her family should’ve been more included in the show. The izombie comics and its story feels closer to being human uk than the show it inspired because spoiler ahead gwen willingly becomes a zombie she doesnt remember that tho bc the original zombie told her she was pretty much their messiah to save them from an interdimensional demon wanting to take over the world. Geeky scotsman made a good video about it btw. Also was someone on the set not aware that there was good icy white wigs on the market ffs liv’s hair was such a struggle i could never not notice it in every episode. Like father like daughter it seems.

Hard disagree on Season 6. The writing was some of the best of the series, in my opinion. It had to be. It could have easily been a phone it in for the gag, type of deal. But the writer's truly wanted to send off these characters to the best of their abilities.

So I had no problem with how the original series ended. I am nearly positive that the ending of new blood was personal request by Hall. IMO he just wanted to not play Dexter anymore. Big gamble. I liked most of new blood but the ending was not good for the story. This could have easily been blamed on Caldwell . He wanted to frame Dexter so in his research he found the needle marks and killed the people in iron lake. The tension at the end would be Harrison’s realization that he has to leave iron lake rather than killing Dexter. Dexter deals with Batista and talks his way out of it blaming Caldwell. All the threads are there to make this a better ending. I just doing think it’s wise to permanently close the door on a character like this. And Hall will be asked about Dexter for the rest of his life and maybe a little less if he hits in something else. Reminds me of the Leonard Nimitz /spock stuff. Dexter killing Logan was where the wheels came right off. That was completely unnecessary and only done to give Harrison further motivation at the end to shoot him. The idea golf a prequel makes sense. I can hear the studio pitch: So what we want to do is a Dexter prequel, imagine young Sheldon mixed with Dexter mixed with riverdale. We already have Hall signed on to do the inner narrative A story of Dexter and Harrison moving forward would be better Anywho watched up to end of season 6 years ago. Heard bad things about season 8 but really liked it and decided to catch up. Really liked it right to the end. Caldwell getting Dexter by being a better dad was great writing.

I feel the series escalated in the later parts. The sniper shot at the car, resulting in total devastation, the pointless, nonsensical Germany arc, which couldn't have worked, the fact that Gus went to the laundry alone, even though he has an entire army at his disposal, the fact that Gus owns the neighborhood he lives in with actors and soldiers, but we are supposed to believe building the lab was a logistical or financial obstacle, ... All of this is absurd to me.
